Schiller "An Equal Opportunity Employer" Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Two INITIAL INFORMATION. On 9~20?93 the undersigned received Case #93-1468. The case narrative stated that the victim had reported having sexual intercourse with the suspect and another individual named Bill Marino. The narrative also included allegations of oral sodomy taking place between the victim and the suspect and the other white male, Bill Marino. On 9?23?93 the victim and her mother came to the CACU office for an interview. INITIAL INTERVIEW: On 9?23?93 at approximately 1625 hrs. the Victim and her mother, came to the CACU office to be interviewed. Present during the interview were the undersigned and Det. Mike Redmond with the CACU office. The victim's mother, was interviewed first. was a white female with a date of birth of She resides at with her daughter and other children. stated that this first came to light to her the Thursday prior to the 20th. On that day the Victim was to be home at 2130 hrs. When failed to return at that time, a family friend named went looking for her. He first checked at the child's grandmother's and then another girlfriend's house, that girl's name being . then went to East St. Catherine to check on . He located her there and confronted her about being sexually involved with the boy that lives at that address, . admitted this, and after doing so asked if she was involved with anyone else, and she replied yes. When asked who, she stated Jerry Lawler and Bill Martin. had relayed this information to mother along with the fact that another young girl, named was with her on several of these occasions. stated that she didn't know what to do or how to handle the situation, and called CACU and filed a report. stated that she confronted her daughter about these allegations. Her daughter told her that she in fact did have sexual relations with both Jerry Lawler and Bill Marino and that each time she had these relations they were of a consensual nature. Her daughter told her that she had met both gentlemen at the wrestling matches that she regularly attends at the Louisville Gardens. also told her mother that she engaged in sodomy and intercourse Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Three with both subjects and that alcohol was involved on some of these occasions. stated she then called mother. She said that had mentioned that she and both had been together on several of these occasions and she wanted to verify this with and her mother. mother had spoke with her about this, and on 9?21?93 mother and mother spoke to one another and found that the girls did confirm each other's stories. The undersigned and Det. Redmond then moved to interview the victim. INITIAL INTERVIEW: (VICTIM). On 9-23?93 at approximately 1655 hrs., the undersigned and Det. Redmond interviewed at the CACU office. is a white female with a date of birth of She resides at with her mother and siblings. seemed a bit shy or reserved initially in the interview, however, was not hesitant in supplying any detail when asked. stated that on May 26th she and were picked up in front of the Louisville Gardens by Jerry Lawler. She stated that Mr. Lawler was driving a black Blazer with tinted windows. Once picked up, Lawler took them to the Days Inn in Sellersburg, Indiana. Upon arriving at the Days Inn they entered his room, and immediately upon entering the room, Mr. Lawler took off his clothes and told them not to be scared. He then told them it was time to get naked. stated that she and left their clothes on and all three of them got onto the bed. After a brief period, Lawler took hand and placed it on his genitals. She began masturbating him at this time and then he asked her to put her lips down there. She stated she was hesitant to do this at first, but finally did, and she performed oral sodomy on him. Lawler then wanted to do the same, and she did. After was through engaging in oral sodomy with Mr. Lawler, they all laid in bed and talked. stated she recalled Lawler calling someone in Tennessee and told whoever he was speaking to about two lovely girls he had in his room. Mr. Lawler then took both girls to a local Taco Bell and then to the Value City in Clarksville, Indiana. While at the Value City in Clarksville, stated that she and and Jerry Lawler were seen by a young man who regularly attends Tuesday night wrestling at Louisville Gardens. She stated she did not know his name but that she and both Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Four talked to the boy and the boy also got Mr. Lawler's autograph. After leaving Value City, Lawler dropped both girls back to the vicinity of Louisville Gardens at approximately 1340 hrs. This was a Wednesday and a regular school day of which both girls had cut. went on to say that on June 6, 1993 she met with Mr. Lawler again. She stated that Lawler, along with and left Louisville Gardens in car that evening after wrestling. and followed in car. Both carloads went to the Days Inn at 1620 Arthur Street, where Mr. Lawler registered. He registered in Room 106, where Lawler put his belongings, and then they all left and went to the nearby McDonald's. After eating, and took Mr. Lawler back to his hotel. and left the restaurant and told she was going to spend the night with a friend and had drop her off at Brook and Hill Street. stated that in fact she did not know anyone that lived in that area but her plan was to walk back to the hotel and meet with Jerry Lawler. After being dropped off, did in fact walk to the Days Inn on Arthur Street and went to Lawler's room. There she spent the night in the room with Mr. Lawler, where they had sexual intercourse and performed oral sodomy on each other. stated that Lawler left the next morning, that being 6?7~93 at approximately 0630 to 0700 hrs. and then she left the room at approximately 0730 hrs. From this location she went to house and they both cut school that day. stated she had told about having sexual intercourse with Lawler while they were together that day. went on to say that on July 7, 1993 she met with Lawler again. At approximately 0630 hrs. she left her home and went to the Days Inn on Arthur Street and met him in Room 200. stated they were laying in bed nude kissing and talking and she performed oral sodomy on him. She stated that when she originally arrived at the room Lawler was on the telephone and had her go to the bathroom and wait until he got off the phone, after which she came into the room and they removed their clothes and performed the above mentioned acts. stated that there were no other incidents that she was involved with concerning Jerry Lawler. then began telling of the incidents concerning Bill Martin. stated that on June 26, 1993 she and met Bill Martin at the Dizzy Whiz around 3rd and St. Catherine. He then took them to the Holiday Motel in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She believed the room number to Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Five be #3 or 4 but was uncertain as to the room number. Before arriving at the room, Bill Martin bought some beer and the three of them went to his hotel room and began drinking and talking. After a short while, Mr. Martin took his clothes off and was lying on the bed kissing and wanted her to take her clothes off. She did so and after which they engaged in sexual intercourse. stated that was watching TV while this was going on. stated that after she and Mr. Martin completed the sex act she went to the bathroom while and he had sexual intercourse. said she also met with Mr. Martin sometime between June and June 6th of '93. She stated that she met Bill Martin and they went to the same hotel in Jeffersonville. She also said that he had bought"B??rmEHiS' time as the last time and after arriving at the room and drinking they got in bed together and took their clothes off. She stated that once nude, Mr. Martin got on top of her and attempted to have intercourse with her but he could not obtain an erection. stated that no other sex acts took place. It should be noted that seemed quite emotional at some points of the interview and actually broke down into tears when speaking about the specific sex acts with both Mr. Lawler and Mr. Marino. INITIAL INTERVIEW: After speaking with the undersigned and Det. Redmond spoke with . is a white male with a date of birth of . He resides at and his phone number is stated that he is a longtime friend of the family. He stated that he also helps in keeping track and keeping safe her children. He stated that had been acting a bit odd for a short period of time and he knew that something was not right with her. He became suspicious that something was going on between her and a young boy named . He confirmed the story told by in reference to the Thursday prior to the 20th. He stated that he in fact did go looking for and had gone to her grandmother's and to another girlfriend's house. He ultimately found at home on St. Catherine. He questioned her as to her involvement and she stated that she has been having sex with Jerry Lawler and Bill Martin (aka Bill Marino). Both of these men are wrestlers that perform at the Louisville Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Six Gardens primarily on Tuesday evenings on a somewhat regular basis. said told him about the incidents in Indiana with both Lawler and Martin. She also told him about the incidents that occurred at the Days Inn on Arthur Street in Louisville, Kentucky. He recalled another time that he had gone looking for both girls and had found them sitting outside of a phone booth next to the Days Inn on Arthur Street. He stated this was fairly recently but neither girl had told the truth as to why they were at that location. feels that most probably would not have told if he hadn't pressured her into being truthful with him and giving the reason why she had been so withdrawn and changed as of late. INITIAL INTERVIEW: On 9?24?93 at approximately 1645 hrs. the undersigned, Det. Mike Redmond with the Crimes Against Children Unit, and Commonwealth Prosecutor Lisa Schweickart went to to interview . Upon arrival we spoke with mother, is a white female, date of birth of . She resides at and their phone number is . stated that she at first heard about this incident about two days prior to our arrival. had called and asked if she knew what was going on with both girls. She in fact did not know anything of the situation and told she didn't. At that time told her that both girls had been with a couple of wrestlers and named Jerry Lawler and another one of which she could not recall the name. She stated that the next day she confronted about this. stated that her daughter attempted to deny this at first but then broke down and admitted that yes, in fact it had happened. further told her mother that the acts were all consensual and that they happened at the Days Inn, and all other facts that were given to her by were confirmed by INITIAL INTERVIEW: Immediately following the interview of we spoke to . known as is a white female, date of birth of . She resides at with her mother. seemed a bit reserved as to giving the account of what occurred between her and the wrestlers. She stated that the things that she did, she did them because she was willing and no one forced her. Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Seven stated that she has known Jerry Lawler since she was 11 years old. She stated that on Tuesday, May 25th that both girls were talking to Mr. Lawler at the Louisville Gardens after wrestling. He had asked both of them to come to his hotel that night and one of them to sneak out. They had told him that they couldn't because the next day was a school day. He then asked them to cut school that next day and come see him._ He wanted them to call a cab company and see how much it would cost to take a cab from Louisville Gardens area to his hotel in Indiana. She stated they contacted Yellow Cab and estimated the fare to be twenty to thirty dollars. That night at about 2330 hrs. they spoke to Mr. Lawler via three?way calling. During this conversation Lawler had decided that the girls should not take the cab, that he would pick them up in front of Louisville Gardens that following morning, and they agreed to do this. said that at approximately 8:00 Wednesday morning the 26th, Mr. Lawler picked both girls up in front of the Louisville Gardens. She remembered he was driving what she believed to be a blue 4 4, something like a Bronco. She stated it was just the three of them but she recalled seeing articles in the truck that belonged to Mr. Lawler's son. The undersigned asked what these articles were, and she stated she saw his son's jacket in the back seat. There was also a magazine which had articles of Jerry Lawler and his son in it. Lawler drove them to the Days Inn in Sellersburg. said as soon as they got in the room Lawler told the girls that it was time to get naked. He then took his clothes off and turned on the TV and they all started watching cartoons. started masturbating the suspect and then eventually began "sucking his thing". said that after this was done, she also gave Lawler a "blow job". While was performing oral sodomy on Lawler, was kissing him. After this was completed and a short while following, the three of them left the room and went to the Value City by River Falls Mall. said she recalled seeing a guy who works at Value City that they see at the wrestling quite often. This man recognized them and spoke to them briefly and also got Jerry Lawler's autograph. After leaving the Value City, they went to Taco Bell and ate. Immediately after leaving the Taco Bell, Lawler dropped both subjects off in front of Louisville Gardens at approximately 1420 hrs. She stated that they needed to be back at that time because they had school that day and had to be in in time to make it look as if they did in fact go to school. The undersigned then asked if Lawler in fact knew their ages. She stated that she has heard tell him Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Eight that she was 14 years old on more than one occasion while at the wrestling on Tuesday nights. She then again repeated the fact that she has known Lawler since she was 11 years old and has on numerous occasions told him her age. went on to say that on June 29th, that being a Tuesday. that she was to spend the night with . They talked to Jerry Lawler that night at Louisville Gardens and he'd asked them both to come over, and they agreed. The girls told that they were staying at sister's house that night. Both girls walked to Arthur Street to the Days Inn. They stopped at a nearby phone booth and called and he wanted to know what they were doing. stated that he had given instructions to call when they got to sister's house. stated they went as far as to have a girl named call and tell him that she was sister and that the girls were not with her at that time because they were out getting pizza. Apparently, they called back just a short while after this call was made because had made a comment to her about being back awfully fast from getting the pizza. He also stated to when she had called that he believed that the girls were lying to him. said started crying and told where they were. came by with brother. and picked both girls up. She stated they were sitting on the steps near the phone booth by the Big Foot on Arthur Street, which is directly next to the Days Inn. asked the girls what they were doing, and said that they were just out walking around until it got late. She stated that was then to sneak her into home, where she was to spend the night. said that this was a lie. that their real plan was to go see Jerry Lawler. said that they all rode around for a short while and then in fact did go back to house and did sneak her past her mother and she spent the night in the attic. then stated that had told of another time that she had been with Jerry Lawler. had apparently told her mother that she was spending the night with . in fact went to Jerry Lawler's room at the Days Inn on Arthur Street. was unsure of the exact date here. had told her this had occurred and the date that she was told was June 27th. said that she spent the night with Jerry Lawler and had cut school the next day. stated she was unsure of the date and guessed it to be around March the 9th. The undersigned asked who she had first heard this from, and she stated that she had actually heard this originally from . Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Nine The undersigned then asked if there was anything distinguishing about Jerry Lawler that appeared unusual to her. She stated that she didn't notice anything about him that was out of the ordinary other than the fact that she did recall seeing hair dye in his bag that was Sitting on one of the beds in the hotel room. then went on to speak about the meetings with Bill Martin. She stated the last time occurred in the Holiday Motel in Indiana around June 26th. stated that on Friday night she had went to home and had told her that she had to see someone at the hospital. said that this was actually a lie and that had gone to Bill Martin's room. stated she left and went to . After a while came back to and told her that she actually went to the hotel and had sex with Bill Martin. said Bill Martin wanted both girls to come over and get drunk with him. Bill Martin met both girls across the street from the Dizzy Whiz at 3rd and St. Catherine. He met them there at about 1430 to 1530 hrs. said that the three of them stopped and got some beer. She stated she believed it was Colt 45 and whiskey. They then went to the Holiday Hotel in Indiana. The undersigned asked what Mr. Martin was driving, and she stated he was driving a yellowish?beige four-door with a light brown interior. It appeared to be clean but an older car. She recalled that it had a removable radio but no other distinguishing items that she could recall. Upon arrival at the Holiday Hotel, they entered his room. She described the room as follows: The room had a bed on the left hand side upon entering the door; the right had the air conditioner in the wall up high. The room had blue curtains of the pull?back type; they were pulled back with the long sticks and not with a cord. She believed the carpet to be beige and the bedspread to be a multicolor. said they all sat around and drank and listened to the radio and told jokes for some time. and Bill Marino were dancing while she watched. They all then went and lie down on the bed and began talking. After a short while got up and sat in a chair and left and Bill Marino in the bed. stated she went to the bathroom and when she came out she saw ?sucking Bill Marino's thing" and they asked her to do the same thing and she did. After this, she went to the bathroom again and when she came out she saw and Bill Marino having sex. Once done. went to the bathroom and then Bill Marino went to the bathroom. stated she recalled passing out on the bed and at that time had sex with Bill Marino. (A note should be made that Bill Marine is Bill Martin's stage name for wrestling and will be Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Ten referred to as either/or throughout this investigative letter.) They then ordered a pizza from Papa John's and after eating the pizza and Bill Martin had sex again. While and Bill Martin were lying in bed, called to see if he was looking for . stated that asked her "what the fuck was doing and where she was". She told that she didn't know where she was but she knew that he knew she was lying. then told . that they had to go and Bill Martin asked her to just give them five more minutes. She became angry and upset and stated no, that was looking for her and they had to go now. said she then called back and said that was with a friend and that they had just left. After this conversation they all left Bill Martin's room and he took home and dropped off at Zorn Avenue apparently at a cousin's home or next to the cousin's home. said that was to be at this location at about 2215 hrs. and that was quite upset that she had not been there yet. The undersigned then asked if at any time during the sex acts that a condom was used, and she stated no. The undersigned then asked if Mr. Martin had ejaculated and she stated yes and further stated that she was not on birth control at that time. stated that Mr. Martin had asked her how old she was and she said she was 14 years old. She stated that the topic of age came up when he was driving them over to the hotel initially. Martin said that had told him at one time that she was 16 but he didn?t believe this and challenged that. She then said she was 15 and he didn't believe that either. finally told Bill Martin that she was 14 years old and he in fact believed this. stated that the only thing she recalled Martin saying upon dropping them off was that they shouldn't tell anyone that they had been with him or what they did because he would get in big trouble. The undersigned asked when she first met Bill Martin, and she stated it was approximately 1% months before the event that she just spoke of. She stated that she and had met Bill Martin at the same time and it was after wrestling at Louisville Gardens. INITIAL INTERVIEW: . On 9?27?93 at approximately 1815 hrs. the undersigned, Det. Redmond, and Commonwealth Prosecutor Lisa Schweickart went to At that location we spoke to is a white male with a date Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Eleven of birth of . He resides at with his mother, the victim, and another sibling. The undersigned questioned in reference to the incident in which he and had picked up the girls in front of Days Inn on Arthur Street. He stated he did in fact recall this and that he, along with had picked up and at the Big Foot on Arthur Street at about 2300 to 2330 hrs. He stated this was sometime around June 6th or 8th but he was unsure of the exact date. He stated that they did bring back to the house and she did sneak in and spent the night in the attic. He stated his mother did not know this and they had kept that a secret from her. The undersigned then asked him again if he was knowledgeable as to the date, and he stated that he could not be exact other than that he recalled it happening a week or so before school got out. The undersigned then asked if he was aware of the sex acts in regards to Jerry Lawler and Bill Martin, and he replied that he had first heard about this situation sometime last week. At this time Lisa Schweickart interviewed . The interview consisted of a recap of the information given during her first interview. PHOTOGRAPHS AT DAYS STREET. On 9?27?93 the undersigned, Det. Redmond, and Lisa Schweickart went to 1620 Arthur Street to the Days Inn. The phone number there is 636?3781. Upon arrival the undersigned spoke to the front desk clerk, stated that any information regarding registration would have to be obtained from the was not present but manager, would have to be contacted the next date. did refer us to the service employee, took us to Room 200 and allowed us to take photographs of that room. Det. Redmond took approximately 13 shots of Room 200 that day. On 9?28?93 at 2315 hrs., the undersigned went by the Days Inn on Arthur Street. The undersigned spoke to who stated that Jerry Lawler was registered on the following dates: June 6, Room 106; July 6, Room 200; June 29, Room 115. stated she would have to check the following date for a March 9th registration. then asked me to contact her on 9~29~93 at approximately 2300 hrs. to obtain copies of these registrations. Redmond went to the Days Inn on Arthur Street and obtained photos of Room 106. INVESTIGATION AT HOLIDAY MOTEL, JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA. On 9?27?93 at approximately 2210 hrs. the undersigned, Det. Redmond, and Lisa Schweickart of the Commonwealth Attorney's Office went to the Holiday Motel located at 1901 Highway 62 East in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The phone number of this motel is (812) 283?6641. Upon arrival the undersigned spoke to the manager. stated the last time that Bill Martin had registered was 9?1?93. She stated that any other registration information could be obtained from the owner of the motel, phone number is . did allow us to see Room 2 and a sketch of that room was made. After seeing Room 2, the undersigned spoke to again, who stated that Mr. Martin comes to their motel as a regular guest. When he does come there he usually drives a Ford and she described it as small but could not give any other details such as color, etc. She went on to say that Mr. Martin has different women with him every time he comes. On 9?27?93 at 2245 hrs., the undersigned called . number again is He stated that he would check his registrations and that I should call him back the following day. On 9-28?93 at 0920 hrs., the undersigned called and spoke to . She stated that the registration information was as follows: He was registered on May 28th, June 1st, and June 25th. All registrations are under Bill Martin and the address given is Kentucky. stated the registration cards will be left at the hotel for the undersigned to pick up. Copies of these registrations are included in the file. INITIAL INTERVIEW: (VALUE CITY). On 9?28?93 at approximately and Commonwealth Prosecutor Lisa Schweickart went to 700 Eastern Boulevard in Clarksville, Indiana to the Value City store. Upon arrival the undersigned spoke to the store manager, stated that he was not familiar with anyone that was a wrestling fan, but was told Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Thirteen that another store employee, had a son that had previously worked there that was. then had come to the office so that we may speak to her. The undersigned then spoke to is a white female who resides at Charlestown, Indiana. Her phone number is . stated that her son, had worked at the store previously and was a big fan of wrestling at Louisville Gardens. She stated that we could then speak to him via phone, and she dialed the number. After made contact with her son, the undersigned then spoke with him via phone from Value City. is white male with a date of birth of He resides at Charlestown, Indiana with his mother. stated that he did recall sometime back two girls came into the store with Jerry Lawler. He described one girl as having dark or black hair and the other one lighter brown hair. stated that he sees these girls regularly at the Louisville Gardens wrestling on Tuesday nights. He stated that after a short discussion with them that he did ask Mr. Lawler for an autograph, of which Mr. Lawler gave him. INVESTIGATION: DAYS INDIANA. On 9?28?93 at approximately 2130 hrs., the undersigned and Commonwealth Prosecutor Lisa Schweickart went to 7618 Old State Road in Sellersburg, Indiana to visit the Days Inn. It should be noted that this Days Inn has a Sellersburg mailing address; however, it in fact does lie within the city limits of Hamburg, Indiana. The phone number of the Days Inn is (812) 246?4451. Upon arrival at the Days Inn, the undersigned spoke to front desk person . stated that Jerry Lawler does stay there quite often but could not give specific information as to what days he was registered there. stated that the information required could only be supplied by the hotel manager, . was not available at the time, and I advised that I would contact her via phone at a later date. On 10?5?93 at approximately 1345 hrs., the undersigned spoke to via phone. was very hesitant to speak to the undersigned in regards to Mr. Lawler. When questioned as to why, she stated that Mr. Lawler had called her and told her that he had a meeting set with the undersigned on 10?6?93. He then requested that she not give Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Fourteen us the information that we requested in regards to the rooms and dates that he had rented. He advised that he wished to be the one to give that information. stated that she wished to protect her guests, however, wanted to cooperate with the police as much as possible. The undersigned then explained that it was important that the information be confirmed with her and not with Mr. Lawler, and she stated that she understood. then stated that Mr. Lawler had checked in on Tuesday the 25th that night and checked out late on the 26th. She then stated she would make a copy of this registration and make it available to the undersigned. A copy of that registration is included in the files. INITIAL INTERVIEW: 0n 9?29?93 at approximately 1850 hrs., the undersigned Spoke with via phone. is a white female and she resides at in Borden, Indiana. Her phone number is . The undersigned questioned in regards to the incident that had spoke about earlier, that incident being the night that the group of them had taken Mr. Lawler from the Louisville Gardens to the Days Inn on Arthur Street and during which had went and had dinner together at the McDonald's. This was the same evening that had went back to Mr. Lawler's hotel room. stated that she in fact did recall that evening. She stated that she and her daughter, took Lawler to the hotel. She stated the hotel that they went to was the Days Inn on Arthur Street. then advised that this would have been sometime between 2130 and 2200 hrs., immediately following the wrestling matches at the Louisville Gardens. After arrival at the Days Inn, Lawler signed in and then they all went to the McDonald's and ate. The undersigned asked who rode in which cars. She stated that she, Lawler, and her daughter went in one car and another girl went in the other while car. The undersigned then asked who went to the McDonald's to eat, and she advised that they all did. stated that she and then dropped Mr. Lawler off at his hotel room sometime prior to 2300 hrs. When asked who went back to the hotel she advised that they all had, that being both cars. INITIAL INTERVIEW: On 9?29?93 at approximately 1825 hrs., the undersigned spoke to via phone. is a white female with a date of birth of . She resides at and her phone number is . recalled that evening in the same manner as her mother had. She recalled taking Mr. Lawler to his hotel room and allowing him to check in. stated that the car arrangements were the same as her mother had mentioned in the previous interview. Again, account was virtually the same as that of her mother's. No other information of any significance was mentioned. INITIAL INTERVIEW: . On 9?29?93 at approximately 1330 hrs., Det. Mike Redmond of the Crimes Against Children Unit spoke to via phone. is a black male, date of birth of . He resides at told Det. Redmond that he recalled seeing both girls on what he thought to be a Wednesday morning out front of the Louisville Gardens. He stated that he did not see them leave with anyone and could not refer to the girls by name. He stated that he merely knows the girls by face. was unable to give any other significant information. INITIAL INTERVIEW: (BOARD OF EDUCATION). On 9?30?93 at approximately 1030 hrs., Det. Mike Redmond spoke to in regards to days that both girls have been absent from school. informed Det. Redmond that - was absent on May 26th and also from June 2nd through June 8th. He then advised that was absent on May 26th, May 28th, June lst, and June 7th. INITIAL INTERVIEW: On 9?30?93 at approximately 1750 hrs., the undersigned spoke to via phone. is a white female, date of birth of . Her home phone number is and she is the roommate of . The undersigned spoke to about the same incident as and had been involved in. Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Sixteen recalled this being on a Tuesday night approximately two months ago. She stated that Jerry Lawler needed a ride that particular evening. Jerry Lawler had rode with and while and went in car. She recalled the events in the same manner as the did. She commented on taking Mr. Lawler to the Days Inn on Arthur Street and about having dinner at the nearby McDonald's. The undersigned then asked what they did after leaving Mr. Lawler at the hotel room. stated she took to a friend's house on Brook Street just off of Hill Street. She recalled seeing standing at the front door and then after a short while she walked around to what appeared to be the side or rear of the house. said she never saw anyone come to the door nor did she see enter the house. said she dropped off at approximately 2300 hrs. and then was taken home at approximately 2315 hrs. INTERVIEW: . On 10?8?93 at approximately 1335 hrs. the undersigned, Det. Mike Redmond, and Commonwealth Attorney Lisa Schweickart went to residence. The undersigned asked who he had spoke to in regards to this incident. He stated that he had gone to the Holiday Hotel in Indiana and Spoke to an older couple about the incident. He said he did not go to any other hotels but did go to the Louisville Gardens. said that he had gone to the Louisville Gardens he believed to be the second day after he had found out about the incident. He recalled talking to a man named who he thought was the assistant manager. He told that had been having sex with Jerry Lawler and Bill Martin. He also stated that something ought to be done about this because one of these wrestlers had taken both girls to Indiana. said that he did mention both girls' names but believed that he gave the last name of as He said he made no threats, just simply told them.this and felt that they should look into it. He wasn't sure if mother was going to prosecute, but felt that Louisville Gardens should look into it nonetheless. INVESTIGATION: LOUISVILLE GARDENS. 0n 10?8?93 at approximately 1415 hrs. the undersigned, Det. Redmond, and Commonwealth Prosecutor Lisa Schweickart went to the Louisville Gardens. Upon arrival we spoke with Mr. Tony Butler and Mr. King, the general manager. Mr. Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Seventeen Butler stated that he recalled sometime around September 20th or 21st or 22nd, in that time period, coming to his office. Mr. Butler said that had told him that he was going to sue the promoter and everyone else. At that time he told Mr. Butler that his ex?wife's sister, a 13 year old girl, had met with wrestlers and went to their hotels and sex was involved. He then handed Mr. Butler a letter that had written of which a c0py is enclosed in the file. The undersigned asked Mr. Butler if the girls' names were mentioned, and he stated that and were mentioned. He also stated that Jerry Lawler and Bill Marino's names were mentioned as the wrestlers involved. Mr. Butler stated that at no time was he advised of what hotels were involved other than there was one in Indiana. No dates were mentioned and the conversation with lasted approximately 10 minutes. Mr. King then told the undersigned that Jerry Lawler had called two or three times wanting to know where this information was coming from. He stated that he wanted to know who had made the complaint. Mr. King told Mr. Lawler that he didn't know due to the fact that he has been advised by their lawyers not to discuss this with anyone. The only person he had spoke to in regards to the incident was the promoter, Jerry Jerod. He advised Mr. Jerod of the allegations and that an unknown person may be suing him. INTERVIEW: . d? On 10?8?93 at approximately 1450 hrs. the undersigned Lisa Schweickart went to home. While there, we spoke with . stated that the past Monday at approximately 1630 hrs. Jerry Lawler had called her. He told her that he had called earlier and got her number. The undersigned asked what Mr. Lawler had wanted. said that he had told her that she was the key to his getting out of this. He then told her that what she needed to do was to lie and say that nothing happened. He then told her that he would call back and talk to her mother about 2000 hrs. that evening. The undersigned asked if he did call back and she replied that yesapproximately 2000 hrs. and he in fact did talk to her mother. stated that she had no knowledge as to the contents of that conversation. had asked Mr. Lawler how he had found out about the allegations and he told her that he found out through Louisville Gardens, that they had called him and told him. He then left his number Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Eighteen with her, that number being . He told her to call him if she needed him and love you". He then hung up. said she had called after this conversation and said that she and her mother wanted to drop this. She would not go into details but this came about after Mr. Lawler had called them. INTERVIEW: On 10:8793 at approximately 1550 hrs. the undersigned, Det. Redmond, and Commonwealth Prosecutor Lisa Schweickart went to home. stated that Jerry Lawler had called one day and asked to speak to her mother. He then asked her why she had said all these things and she told him because and her mother were suspicious that something was going on. She stated the conversation did not last long and was ill at ease talking to about that conversation's content. She went on to say that Mr. Lawler called back later that day and spoke to her mother. The undersigned asked if she knew what day this was, and she said she believed it to be on Sunday, 10?3?93. She was then asked if she recalled or knew what the conversation between Lawler and her mother was, and she stated no. At that time Commonwealth Prosecutor Lisa Schweickart asked if the allegations she had presented to us earlier were true or not. stated that everything she had told us was true, that she just felt uncomfortable pursuing this after the conversation she had with Mr. Lawler. INTERVIEW: On 10-10?93 at approximately 1735 hrs., the undersigned spoke to Via phone. stated that on Monday at approximately 2000 hrs., Mr. Lawler had called her. He told her that nothing had actually happened between him and the girls. He advised her that he took them to Indiana to buy them clothes. He went on to tell that all the police wanted to do was to make a name for themselves and that after they ruined everyone's lives they would be off to the next case and never give them another thought. He then advised her that he had a lawyer and that if she thought that he had violated the girls that maybe she should talk to his lawyer. She stated that he had not called since that date. had talked to mother, and she stated that she was afraid the girls were going to get a reputation from this. was quite upset that Mr. Lawler would call her on the phone and attempt to discuss this situation with her and was adamant at pursuing prosecution. Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Nineteen INITIAL INTERVIEW: JERRY LAWLER. On 10?11?93 at approximately 1000 hrs., Mr. Lawler and his attorney, Tim McCall, came to the CACU office. Mr. Lawler was given his rights and they were witnessed by his attorney, Tim McCall, and the undersigned and Det. Redmond. The conversation was audiotaped and a copy of this is included in the file. During this conversation Mr. Lawler admitted to the girls being at his hotel room in Indiana. He denied, however, picking them up and bringing them there and stated that they merely appeared at his front door. He also stated that they had gone to the Value City and that he did take them home. When asked how he took them home, he stated that he had to borrow his son's car, that being a Chevy Blazer. Mr. Lawler also recalled the incident where and had taken him to his hotel after wrestling at the Days Inn on Arthur Street. He stated that he did ride in the car with both of those women and that they did have dinner at the McDonald's. He stated the other car contained and . He denied ever coming to his room afterwards. Mr. Lawler denied any sexual contact with either girl at any time. He further stated that the only time that either girl was in or near his rented room at one of the motels would have been the day mentioned in Indiana when he had taken them home and stOpped by the Value City en route to do so. When asked if he had talked to either girl or their family since the incident, he replied that he had. During his recount of these phone conversations he had stated that he had taped the conversation with and her mother and was unable to do the same with the conversation he had with . He further stated that had admitted over the phone that she had lied to the police about the sexual allegations. The undersigned then asked Mr. Lawler if he had the tapes, and he stated that they were in a briefcase back at the attorney's office. The undersigned then asked Mr. Lawler and his attorney to produce these tapes so that the undersigned and the Commonwealth prosecutor could hear this. Mr. Lawler became flustered at this request and Mr. McCall stated that he would have to review these tapes prior to the Commonwealth's hearing them. The Commonwealth Attorney, Lisa Schweickart, asked if they would review and produce only the tape of stating that she had lied. At that time Mr. Lawler stated that she didn't exactly say that she was lying but indicated that on the conversation. The tape was then requested again and Mr. McCall stated that he would have to review this first. The undersigned met Ms. Schweickart at the Grand Jury Room. Mr. Lawler was present; however, his attorney, Tim Captain Myra Mason October 23, 1993 Page Twenty McCall, was not. After a few minutes Mr. McCall appeared, at which time we requested to hear the tapes. Mr. McCall stated he had not the time to hear the tapes properly and could not do so before the next date. The grand jury date was then continued by Ms. Schweickart and the tapes requested that following morning. On 10?12?93 Mr. McCall contacted Ms. Schweickart of the Commonwealth Attorney's Office and stated that he was in fact not turning those tapes over to us. He stated that he was not going to allow us to hear them nor would he turn them over to us. INITIAL INTERVIEW: I On 10?11?93 at approximately 1200 hrs., the undersigned and Commonwealth Prosecutor Lisa Schweickart went to Meyzeek Middle School and interviewed aka is a white female, date of birth . She resides at and with her mother. She stated that they all knew Jerry and had known him for some time. She stated that she. along with and would talk to him on the side after wrestling many times. She stated they would also take pictures for him with fans and he would give them money for this. She recalled first telling her about kissing Mr. Lawler some time back. She knew that there were things going on between and Jerry Lawler. When asked about the incident in the car where they had all taken Mr. Lawler to the Days Inn on Arthur Street, she recalled this very clearly. She stated that and had taken them there while she and rode with in car. She stated she also knew about plans to sneak back to Lawler's room that night. She recalled dropping off on Brook Street and knew that she went back to the hotel. That next morning, called her and then met her and they both skipped school. During that following day said that had told her about having sex with Jerry Lawler. The undersigned asked what she meant by sex. and stated that had mentioned oral sex and intercourse. said that she had first told about this after getting into an argument with . She told about this incident and this made angry because had strong feelings for Lawler. She stated she told about two weeks after her finding this out. The undersigned then asked if she believed account of the sex acts with" Jerry Lawler. stated that there was no doubt in her mind that these things did happen. When asked about Bill Marino and the sexual encounters that both and were involved in, she stated that she had known about that for about three months. This information came to her through . The undersigned then asked if either girl had told her about any other wrestlers that they had been having sex with and she stated no, that these were the only two that they had ever mentioned and she felt sure that what they had told her was true.
