Mar on DANIELLE mums mason (am JUPITER Pmce cams" v.19". om. 361' BILL ALLEN JUPITER POUCE DEPARTMENT Jupiter Police Department mm 0511920101324 Incident Report 0140021133 On i met with ?the Jupiter Police Department to obtain an audio taped statement about the incident that occurred at 1455 Cades Bay Avenue in Jupiter. advised that Valentine is the Dean of Theater for Bak Middle School of the Arts. and that he was theater teacher and mentor. - advised that he met Valentine when he was a student at Bak. and that he has been working Valentine both in school and at Valentine's Interact Summer Camp that is held at both independence Middle School as well as 1455 Cades Bay Avenue in Jupiter. - advised that over the summer of 2007 when he was sixteen years old. he was working at the Interact Summer camp with Valentine. and that they were alone at 1455 Cades Bay discussing a set design lor an upcoming play. - advised that Valentine had pulled two chairs side by side. and began showing- scripts of different plays. advised that Valentine began touching his thigh. and eventually rested his hand on - crotch. advised that he moved Valentine's hand away, but nothing was said by either of them. According to .Valentine got a Tel-tan ?ag and draped it over both of their laps. In this incident. he and Valentine were seated side by side again. and Valentine was showing him a binder and he placed the binder on - lap and in the process rested his hand on- penis over his clothing. initially he thought that Valentine was not aware of what he was doing. but then after the summer of 2007 incident, he realized that Valentine was intentionally touching - penis. On 05i15110. came to the Jupiter Police Department to voluntarily make a controlled call to Valentine. called Valentine's cell phone from his cell phone. - explained to Valentine that he had been seerng a therapist. and that he wanted Valentine to explain to him why he touched penis. Valentine advised that he did not know what was talking about. He stated that he wanted to help -. but that he did not want to talk about I over the phone. He told- that he would be willing to meet him face to face to dismiss this with him. told Valentine that he was not in town. and could not meet They hung up. and less than ten minutes later. Valentine called - back. Valentine told that he was very shaken up about all of this. and stated that this same type of incident happens him when he was younger. He would not go into detail, and refused to talk any further with - The call ended. On Detective Mantis and i met with Valentine at Bak Middle School to try to obtain a statement from him. Detective Mantis explained why we were there and what allegations we were investigating. Valentine did not want me to record the conversation. He asked if he was going to lose his job. or get arrested, and Detective Mantis advised that he would not be arrested today, and that this conversation was strictly voluntary. Detective Mantis told Valentine that he thought that he cared about -. and that he did not think that Valentine meant to hurt - He said that he thought that things just may have gotten out of hand. Valentine responded ?if anything did happen. it wasn't a decision?. He then asked if he could call an attomey. and we told him that was fine. He left the room for about thirty minutes. and then came back. went on tape. and advised that based on his attomey?s recommendation. he did not want to make a statement at this time. After completigrm my investigation.
