Subject: Feedback on Detail Assigned to Mayor's Office

Captain Alexander I wanted to touch base with you regarding the performance of the police officers who work directly
with me on a day-to-day basis. I?m not sure how evaluations are done, but since I have just completed my first 100 days,
I thought it would be a good time to reach out to you and to provide my feedback. I realize that Sargent Forrest and
Detectives' Dixon and Wilson are tasked with ensuring my safety but I know they also have many more
responsibilities. I wanted to share with you my two cents on the day-to-day operations from my perspective. The
bottom line is that all of these individuals do an outstanding job for me.

Sargent Rob Forrest?Sargent Forrest is a consummate professional in his dealings with me and with my staff. From the
first day he collected me to take me to the swearing in to the many events and functions I have participated in since, his
deep knowledge of Nashville has been essential to my overall success. I am able to do my job efficiently and effectively
because of his excellent relationships all across the community. His leadership of the overall detail is also critical. His
team works like a well-oiled machine and since much of my day includes transport between locations, arriving on time
and in the right place, his careful oversight of the team is essential. Because of Sargent Forrest?s long-time service to
previous mayors, I am the recipient of his expertise. I also appreciate his willingness to work with my new staff and to
mentor them ?just like he is mentoring Detectives' Dixon and Wilson.

Detective Michael Dixon Detective Dixon is often the advance person on the team and because of his long-time service
on the force and his comprehensive knowledge of places and people, I can arrive knowing that I will be provided the
information I need in order to do what is required. He is diligence and I appreciate his attention to detail. His positive
demeanor is an asset to me and smooths the way for interactions have when I arrive at various destinations across the
county. Detective Dixon goes out of his way to be courteous and helpful in all of his interactions with the public and
since he is often the first individual on-site from my office, this sets the right tone and mirrors what I want for my
administration.

Detective Corey Wilson Detective Wilson has been a great addition to the team. He has come aboard and hit the
ground running. He is courteous and polite and eager to learn the ropes. I thoroughly enjoy my interactions with

him. He is a good listener and takes his cues from Sargent Forrest and Detective Dixon. He is a quick study and I have
already seen him evolve more fully into being an advance person for the team. I look forward to seeing him grow more
into this role.

 

I look forward to the continued opportunity to work with these outstanding individuals throughout my time in the
mayor?s office. I have complete faith in their skills and abilities. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can
