Subject: Concerns

My understanding is that you may be out of the country. As such, lam writing to let you know about our concern on
what the media is calling a ?weather tax?. This reporting has caused great uncertainty among New Brunswickers who
are being led to believe that individual regions could face huge spikes for isolated incidents of severe weather.

Many voices oppose the so-called ?weather tax?.

The EUB is in place to regulate industry and protect consumers so I will not interfere in the hearing process while it is
ongoing. I must tell you, however, that lam strongly opposed to the idea of a ?weather tax? and would consider
overruling the adjustment mechanism via legislation should it be supported by the EUB.
