We are not responsible for policing the agencies available to the offenders. If an offender chooses to go to Fiecoyery 1y'entures or Fiecoyery Connections {not being paid by DPSII, it's their choice. 1li'iu'hen we haye contracts with agencies, it becomes a different situation. I think we haye to ful?ll our responsibility to refer to the programs we haye contracts with and offenders that need something else or don't meet the eligibilityr for HHS or TH we can then present them with a list of ayailable seryices in the community and let them choose where they want to go. Back when i was doing DWI assessments in the S?'s i was required by law to giye the offender a list of proyiders ayailable for seryices in the area. The offender then made a choice on which proyider he wanted to contact when treatment was recommended. There were seyeral that I didn't think did good business, but it wasn't my decision to make. IthinlI: if we instruct of?cers the same way, the offender will let the know ifthe seryice is not meeting the expectation.
