This is the response of the Civil Division, Department of Justice to the following
Freedom of Information Act requests: DOJ-18-0172, DOJ-18-0171, DOJ-18-0170
and DOJ-18-0169. This Of?ce received and aggregated your requests on March 27, 2018. You
requested records concerning immigration-related issues.

Speci?cally, you requested Civil Division records maintained by Assistant Attorney
General for the Civil Division Joseph Hunt. Based on your description of the records you seek,
the Civil Division does not maintain records such as those you described. The records you seek
are likely to be maintained by the Office of Information Policy (OIP). Accordingly, the Civil
Division has no records responsive to your request and is closing your request at this time.

For your information, Congress excluded three discrete categories of law enforcement
and national security records from the requirements of the FOIA. S33 5 U.S.C. 552(0). This
response is limited to those records that are subject to the requirements of the FOIA. This is a
standard noti?cation that is given to all our requesters and should not be taken as an indication
that excluded records do, or do not, exist.
