The party was established in mid-April 2011 and most of its members hail from Al-Qamishli, Al-Dirbasiyya—Amouda—Ras al-Ain. Al-Qamishli is the party’s headquarters. According to the guidance of the above-mentioned party secretary, the party's objectives consist of forming a unified Kurdish opposition front in Syria and supporting the so-called Syrian Revolution by all available means. The objective is also to arm the party members to carry out operations against Syrian forces and to support armed groups. The party receives its financial support and weapons from the Istanbul council. The evidence for this is that this party was invited to attend the so-called Friends of Syria conference, which was held in Istanbul recently. - Iraqi officials in Northern Iraq support this party in addition to the support provided by Kurdish Intelligence Agency /Parastin/, which is headed by Masrour al-Barazani. is a follower of and is supported by of the governorate of Aleppo, a member of the Secretariat of the Syrian National Council and a leading businessman, as well as by , also member of the Syrian National Council. - Information adds that members of this party are being trained in Northern Iraq in a base called /Barazani Tigers/ in Zakho in Iraq. The base belongs to the Peshmerga forces. Training focused on the use of all types of weapons to prepare such members to enter Syria soon, illegally, with the assistance of Turkish intelligence which will facilitate their entry to engage in the mobilization in Syria.
