RE: Illinois River TMDL

Dear Mr. Curry:

I have seen Tyson Food's letter to you of February 26, 2013. We join Tyson in
its suggestion that the EPA TMDL of the Illinois River be put on hold until
the three year stressorfresponse study of the River is completed. The present
Oklahoma phosphorus limit for its Scenic Rivers, including the Illinois, is
.0375 mgz?L. That target might change following the study agreed to by
Arkansas and Oklahoma. If it does change, it seems to us that we will have

wasted taxpayer money by continuing a TMDL which would then be
inapplicable to the new Oklahoma standard.
