Dear Attorney General Sessions:

As a Senior Senator, representing Chatham County in the great State of Georgia, I
am calling on the US. Department of Justice to take over the investigation of the
Jan. 23rd officer-involved shooting of Ricky Boyd.

The officer?involved shooting of Ricky Boyd has prompted not only local
attention, but national attention as well. Therefore, I am asking that the case be
transferred to the US. Department of Justice.

- Transferring the investigation of the officer-involved shooting of Ricky Boyd to
the US. Department of Justice will help avoid potential bias Within the local
District Attorney?s of?ce and will help restore the community?s trust in this
investigation.
