Limited Waiver for Paragraph 3 of This Administration?s Ethics Pledge
Dear Ms. Johnson:

You have decided to continue your service to the country by joining the United Services
Organization (USO), a congressionally?authorized public charity. As a senior executive at the
USO, your work may include issue education, issue advocacy, and lobbying, among other
activities.

As a condition of your employment in an appointee position, you signed an Ethics Pledge
based upon Executive Order 13770, ?Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Appointees.?
Paragraph 3 of this Ethics Pledge states that you agree not to engage in any lobbying activities
with respect to any covered executive branch of?cial or non-career Senior Executive Service
appointee for the remainder of the Administration. Section 3(a) of this Executive Order states
that Executive Branch appointees may receive ?a waiver of any restrictions contained in the
pledge.?

You are hereby GRANTED a limited waiver of the restrictions contained in Paragraph 3
of the Ethics Pledge. This limited waiver allows you to engage in lobbying activities as part of
your of?cial duties as an employee or agent of the USO with respect to any covered executive
branch of?cial or non-career Senior Executive Service appointee, other than those at the
Department of the Interior.

As a reminder you are still bound by your post government ethics restrictions under 18
