Friends,
In response to the very public attacks and false accusations Dr. Patterson is currently
receiving at large, many of our friends and coworkers have asked me if there is anything
they can do to encourage and support Dr. and Mrs. Patterson. Dr. and Mrs. Patterson
are trusting with full confidence in the Lord that He will be glorified in all things.
If you are desiring to show your support and encouragement for Dr. and Mrs. Patterson,
there will be a prayer gathering with and for the president today at 5:00pm in the
Williams Room of the Naylor Student Center. You are invited to join in this
gathering, and we do hope to see you there.
This is entirely optional, and is not connected to any requirement of the seminary. It is
simply an opportunity for those desiring to pray for the Pattersons to gather together
and pray with them. It is open to faculty, staff, and students, and you are of course
welcome and encouraged to bring your spouse. I am aware of Wednesday night church
commitments, so we will keep the time brief to allow those needing to depart for church
to do so. Please feel free to share this invitation with others who would like to join. Dr.
and Mrs. Patterson are not yet aware of this, so please do not share it with them before
the event.
