Kathy,

We received a request from Sberbank for a meeting with you: I had to talk to their counsel here in DC a couple of times
before we could nail down a exactly who they wanted to meet or what they were hoping to gain form the
meeting. They had originally asked to meet with DAS Yee, and they appear not have fully understood the division of

responsibilities with the EUR F0.

Bottom Line: We recommend that you NOT take this meeting, and that we handle it at Of?ce Director level. The
proposed interlocutor is an advisor to the Chairman and she is de?nitely not on the same level as, for example, Andrey
Kostin from VTB, with whom you met last year. I think we would not want to signal that the appropriate interlocutor for

Sberbank's Director would be the AIS.

Assuming you are OK with this suggestion, we will take this one at level early next week

I would be joined by Helen Teplitskaia. She is a US citizen who serves as an adviser to Chairman and CEO of
Sberbank, Herman Gref. Her position is based in Moscow but entails assistance to the Chairman in corporate
governance, business development and continuing education of international subsidiaries, including Sberbank
CIB USA. Since 1992, Helen has served as President of the American-Russian Chamber of Commerce and
Industry and adjunct professor of International Business and Markets at Northwestern University Kellogg
School of Management, from where she holds MBA degree. She will be the only participant representing
Sberbank at the meeting.
