Dear Ms. lannelln

I believe yeu may be the musin of James Galati. If you are not, I apologize for the
delivery of this letter, if you are, I was a fellow Seabee with your cousin and was
present during the battle where your cousin gave his life on March 31,

1968 When your cousin was seriously injured during the initial attack on our
camp, 1 was assigned to the battle aid station and assisted the corpsman for
several hours in the carrying for those who were wounded. During this time, I
comforted your cousin as best as i could. While waiting for another medevac
helicopter (the first one sent had crashed) to evacuate your cuusin and the
wounded Seabees, our camp came once again came under attack. we fellow
Seabees were killed in action while returning mortar fire during time secmiil
attack. Your cousin was eventually evacuated by helicupter and died later in the
dav.

i would like to make Contact with ynu if that's acceptable. I have some
documents of Our time in Vietnam and of the battle where your ruiisin gave his
life. I would very much Like to stare these documents with you
