2018 TOBACCO TAX
Increasing the tobacco tax harms retailers and burdens lower­income earners.
While curbing tobacco use is a goal of increasing the tobacco tax, this does little
to find long­lasting revenue sources for the state as the government will collect
less revenue over time. As legislators consider funding solutions for the
upcoming budget, it is important to let your senator know that an increase in the
tobacco tax is bad for Kentucky, your business and customers.

Please urge your senator to vote YES on House Bill 2 to make necessary
improvements to Kentucky's workers' compensation system that will provide
better care for injured workers and more affordable workers' compensation
costs for Kentucky businesses.
