Mike,
As we move ahead with the new grants and cooperative agreement review process, it is most important that we focus
on the content of the Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA) at the very beginning of the financial assistance
process. With that in mind, I would like to schedule a meeting as soon as possible with the appropriate people that are
responsible for writing the FOA's for your bureaus.
Could you please ask the point person(s) responsible for your FOAs to set up a meeting for us? In addition, if they have
a typical schedule for publishing FOAs, please ask them to forward the schedule to me so I can be prepared to give the
FOAs the attention they deserve.
