Dear Secretary Wilson and General Goldfein:

We are writing on behalf of a military family, and our constituents, to express our concern regarding
the Air Force?s handling of domestic violence and child abuse allegations involving Colonel Eric
Holt. Cases involving domestic abuse are incredibly complex and we understand that this case is no
different.

Nevertheless, we are concerned that the safety of the children in this case could be seriously
undermined because of reported actions taken by members of the command and Air Force Of?ce
of Special Investigations (081), which suggest that the Air Force?s own procedures and policies were
not followed. Among our concerns is that qualified and trained military prosecutors and civilian
experts in the Air Force whose job is to provide essential expertise, advice and input on these types
of cases were potentially precluded from participating in review of this case.

Therefore, we request that you direct your most senior attorney with extensive prosecution
experience in domestic violence and child abuse, to conduct a thorough review of the evidence in
collaboration with civilian experts inside and outside of the Air Force. The disturbing, serious facts
of this case necessitate a review by personnel with the most experience and training in this highly
specialized area.

If the facts as reported to us are true, we have grave concerns about the safety of this military
family. We urge you to ensure that a fair, impartial, and professional review of this case takes place
immediately.

Given the seriousness of this case, we request that you respond with your planned course of action
as soon as possible.
