Larry Hogan Fact Sheet Governor Boyd K. Rutherford Lieutenant Governor Christopher B. Shank Executive Director Criminal Justice Dashboard: Quick Reference Sheet for Users In 2009, the Governor's Office of Crime Control & Prevention (GOCCP) joined efforts with the Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services (DPSCS), as well as various state and public safety agencies to develop the Criminal Justice Dashboard (“Dashboard”), a one-stop shop of public safety data and information, to help public safety officials make Maryland a safer place. Since that time, the Dashboard Steering Committee has worked hard to ensure the efficiency, availability, and security of additional resources. The Dashboard has obtained national recognition and won two prestigious awards in 2011 including the Council of State Government’s 2011 Innovations award and the Oracle Fusion Middleware Innovation Award. The Dashboard also won the 2012 Harvard Bright Idea Award which recognizes and promotes excellence and creativity in the public sector. Through the Dashboard, a variety of information can be accessed: Name Physical Description Date of Birth Photo and Profile Home Address ID Numbers (SID, DOC, DPP, etc.) Cautions and Alerts Criminal History Parole & Probation Information Pretrial Case History Incarceration History Sex Offender Information Protective Order Information Warrant Information Juvenile Record MVA Information Gun Registration Information Employment Information DLLR Licensing Information Hunting and Fishing License Information DNA Collection Information And Much More!!!!! Innovative Features of the Dashboard Facial Recognition The facial recognition capability is now available on the Dashboard. Approximately 10 million photos have been uploaded into the Dashboard from the Maryland Central Photo Repository. A photo or good sketch can be copied to the Dashboard where a comparison is made to the 10 million photos and the closest matches will be displayed. In order to improve the effectiveness of this feature, DPSCS coordinated with the MVA and FBI to add more photos to the Dashboard. Warrant Search A new warrant database was added to the Dashboard. This database contains warrants at the District, Circuit, and the Federal level. These warrants can be searched by categories such as date range, charge description, offender name, or county to name a few. Reports can be created on active Maryland warrants by jurisdiction, charge type, or by the length of time the warrant is open. Through the Maryland Offender Management System (MOMS) provided by Washington College, every warrant in the state of Maryland is mapped by the offender’s home address. In addition to all warrants, Parole and Probation offenders, VPI offenders, DJS clients, and sex offenders are also mapped and displayed on the Dashboard. you haveFile] any problems accessing this application, call the DPSCS Maryland DPSCSIf [External GeorgetownCPT 011103 FRT Help Desk at (410) 585‐3800.
