Users are provided a disclaimer before login. • Best practice for fulfilling a request from an authorized requester (same as user) is to require a report number to enter into the system. Any of the above documents that the agency follows for inputting photos and other information or migrating photo databases into the FR T system. • ITCD provides a user manual to assist users with adding a probe image to run against images in our database. • User’s probe images are stored on the application server, not entered into the database of images that DPSCS maintains for use in the facial recognition system. External users must have current National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Terminal Operator Certification to log on. Warrant applications for facial recognition searches, or judicial decisions and orders in the agency's possession governing the agency's use of the FRT system or requests to obtain a facial recognition search. • ITCD does not receive warrant applications for facial recognition searches. • Judicial decisions on use of the facial recognition system or requests to obtain a facial recognition search: I am unaware of any case law that applies to the use of facial recognition as an investigative tool. 6. Purchasing and procurement documents • Purchasing and procurement documents can be requested from the appropriate group in the DPSCS Finance Division. 7. Any manuals from the companies providing FRT system components. • A request should be sent to the vendor, DataWorks Plus, for their documentation. 9. Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) or agreements with other state or local agencies, i.e. the Department of Motor Vehicles, on the use of, or requests to search, their FR T systems.
