It should be noted that while riding upstairs in the elevator, I asked Mr. Ledford what his role was supposed to be since criminal cases are tried by the state’s attorney and he advised that he was there for the civil side of it. She stated that until her mother got involved in all of the police matter, she talked to Ranee on a regular basis through phone calls and text m essages. Since she had been sexually active before, I asked her to clarify if the sex with Ranee was different than it was when she was not "forced" and she stated that it was different, but still begged. She then asked me not to tell her mom about the sex she had before Ranee. She stated that her mother is really protective and rude to her when she doesn't do what her mother wants. I asked her again about sex she has had since Ranee to see If those incidents were also begged, and she advised that they were. When I asked her why she didn't just say no and leave the room on each of these occasions, she then giggled a little bit and stated that "I'm really easy at giving in." I explained to her that giving in to the begging of men to have sex is not considered rape and that in the future, if she truly does not want to participate in the sex, she needed to remove herself from the situation. When comparing Ranee to the other two men she has slept with, t asked her why she wanted to put him in jail, she stated that he was bad and that he cheats on all of his girlfriends. She stated that she flirted with him a bit and then she started laughing saying that "he totally gave in to it" and "totally admitted it" referring to the sex he had with her. She stated that she didn't really think about it. She just feels now that she was misled and that he told her that he really cared about her when all he was doing was using her for sex. I told her that I wanted to complete another phone call to Ranee and I asked her if she had his phone number. She said that she did but that she needed her phone back from me to get it.
