The Executive remains strongly committed to this important project and is thankful for the City?s continued partnership. He shares your goals of quickly moving the project forward and maximizing the number of affordable housing units built on the property. To that end, the County is working to issue a new RFP for the Northgate property by July 3 l. The new proposal will make it clear that the land for the affordable housing component must be provided to the nonpro?t developer at no cost, as well as requiring a greater minimum number of affordable units. Our team will work closely with Seattle?s Of?ce of Housing to ?nalize the details for the new RFP. We thank you in advance for prioritizing this review so we may issue it by the end of the month. This project will bring new mixed-income housing opportunities, including for low and very low income families, along with access to Metro transit and future Sound Transit light rail services. Thank you for your partnership. Sincerely, Casey Sixkiller Chief Operating Of?cer Office of the King County Executive King County is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer 933/9 .-1202M and complies with the Americans with Disabilitites Act
