Williams, Elaine From: McManus, Romana Sent: Tuesday, July 18, 2017 10:10 AM To: Da mas, Stanislaw Cc: Williams, Elaine Ball Cuthbertson, Brenda Subject: Albert Virachismith Stan, I know there is a scheduled meeting with Albert V. on July 27th but because i will be heading out on vacation I want to make certain that you are aware I am available by cell at RCW 42 56 230(3' if you have any questions. I also want to reiterate my concern at the prospect of Albert returning to work with children and specifically children atJohn Muir. Not only do I have concerns regarding his alcohol consumption, his odor of alcohol in a school setting, the number oftimes he has reported to work with a prevalent odor of alcohol, his attendance (21 times absent), but also the quality of his work and the inappropriateness of his behavior (Example: playfully putting an Access student that has impulse control challenges in a headlock in the middle of class time). Students and staff have reported "he is too rough" when working with his 1:1 student. The classroom teacher has reported that when Albert is in the classroom he is distracting and disruptive to the teaching environment. Supports and recommendations to get help were offered in the fall and the conversations continued throughout the year. Although there were periodic times of improvement there was no sustained improvement. Both Mrs. Cuthbertson and I respectfully ask that he be reassigned to another school if you decide to continue his employment. Thank you.
