Source recalled the subject as being a quiet Student who caused no trouble to her knowledge (11 the campus. On 7/16/73, the knowledgeable source was re- contacted and advised that there has been no recent activity on the part of SDS at that college and he does net expect it to be a problem in the futureleCause of lack of interest on the part of the student body. He noted that the former Assistant Professor of English, DAVID C. STRATMAN, was a strong promoter for the founding of an SDS Chapter, Colby College, but that ?teaching contract expired in June of 1973 and wasrnt renewed? He noted that DAVID G. STRATMAN's present address is 36 East St., Apartment 3, Dorchester, Mass. The above~mentioned source further noted that -even with backing, SDS was only able to obtain three members atthat college as identified above and it was source's Observation that none of the three members were particularly enthused about the organization. He noted that the subject is no longer on campus but is living in'Mass., and it was his recollection thazthe subject was not the type of individual who would engage in any rebellious or violent activity or one who would advocate the overthrow of the US Government by force or violence.. He further stated that inasmuch as STRAIMAN has left campus, he does not expect SDS to be active any longer on campus because of the lack of interest and motivation on the part of the student body. Those sources are identified later in this letter and were contacted in the absence of the Dean of Students and the Registrar. On 7/16/73, a second source who is in a position to furnish reliable information of this sort advised that ROBERT EARLE PARRY entered Colby College, Waterville, Maine, as a freshman in the fall of 1967 and graduated in 6/71 receiving a BA Degree in English. Source noted that his grades were about average and that his DOB was 1/24/49 at Hartford, Conn.
