Operator: Okay, where in the falls? Caller: Um, I’m at the like the river part. Operator: Alright, that goes through the whole park, can you narrow it down a little bit? Caller: Um, shoot, I mean I’m right down like when you come down the stairs at like a little beach area, little (inaudible) area. Operator: Which set of stairs? Caller: Um, shoot, (inaudible). Operator: Is there a bridge number or is there? Caller: No, you can come down any type of stairs and there’s a big field. Operator: Are you over by the deer pen? Caller: Yes. Operator: Okay. Alright, tell me exactly what happened. Caller: Um, well there’s these four boys harassing us. Um, they keep pulling out weapons and they just won’t leave us alone and following me. Operator: What type of weapons? Caller: They got sticks, knives, I don’t know. Operator: Alright, and what are they saying to you? Caller: They, well one of the little boys had asked one of us for a cigarette, and he was ten years old. Operator: Okay. Caller: And I told him no. Operator: (Inaudible). Caller: And they got upset. Operator: Alright. Let me get this. And what type of knives did they have? Caller: Like I don’t know, knives that you can buy from Ace Hardware, I don’t know. Operator: Like really, like were talking really large ones, pocket knives? Caller: (Inaudible). Yeah. 1 Operator: Kitchen knives? Caller: Pocket. Operator: Alright, I’m gonna get their descriptions and we take this one at a time, so start with the first boy, what race is he? Caller: They’re all Somalian. Operator: Okay, the first one, how old does he look? Caller: They’re all about the same age, they’re all probably fourteen. Operator: Okay, the first one, what is he wearing? Caller: Um, blue shirt, blue t-shirt, white shorts, white and blue shorts. Operator: And what about the next one? Caller: Um, one of them is wearing no shirt, black pants. Um, and then there’s a little tiny boy, he’s got jeans and a black shirt on. And then there’s another guy with a backpack on, he keeps saying there’s a gun in his backpack. And he keeps getting in my boyfriend’s face. (Lots of inaudible yelling in background) Operator: Okay. Caller: He’s got black, um, black pants on, black shirt, white, um, white sandals. Operator: White sandals you said? Caller: Yup, and he’s actually assaulting my boyfriend right now. Operator: Okay. Caller: He’s got like a switch and he’s swinging it. Operator: Alright, I got help started out there now (inaudible), what’s your name? Caller: If you can hear them. (Yelling in background continues) Operator: I can hear you, but, I can hear them, but that’s not important, what’s your name? Caller: [Private Data] Operator: And what’s the phone number you’re calling from? Caller: [Private Data] Operator: Okay, I know he’s assaulting your boyfriend, but is anyone else in danger right now? Caller: Um, me and him. And there’s, ah, like families every (inaudible). Operator: Alright. Caller: There’s families, there’s kids, there’s all kinds of (inaudible). Operator: Are you able to get yourself away from the situation? Caller: Yes, I’m walking away, but they keep, he just threw a rock at me. 2 Operator: Okay, alright, officers are gonna be dispatched as soon as possible. Caller: Yeah, well they’ll probably be gone by the time you guys get here. Do you need all this information right away? Operator: Yes. Caller: I mean come on. Operator: Well ma’am I’m not the one driving, the officers are, I give it to them while they drive. It doesn’t slow it down. Caller: Okay, yeah, well. Operator: It doesn’t slow them down; it makes them more prepared to help in case they run. Caller: Well they are running, so I mean nothing’s gonna happen now, right? Operator: Well if we can catch them now based off the information you gave them we can still do something. Caller: I know exactly where they’re going. Operator: Where are they going? Caller: I can see them walking away, we can follow them (inaudible). Operator: No, don’t, if they have guns they could. Caller: I want something to be done about this. Operator: Ma’am, if they potentially have guns. Caller: This is not okay. Well yeah, I mean I’m threatened, but I mean I want something done about this. This is not okay. Operator: Ma’am, the police, listen to me, the police dept. does not want you following because now it’s your own risk. We have advised you legally not to follow.
