Record of Interview of GUTIERREZ-Soto, Emilio: At the port of entry Emilio Gutierrez stated that he is a citizen and national of Mexico, and that he is not in possession of any documents issued by legal authority that would allow his to enter or reside in the United States legally. Subject further stated that his duties as a reporter for the El Diaro are to conduct investigative stories for the area including Janos and Palomaa, MX. Subject Gutierrez stated that he has written stories involving incidents Mexican Military corruption, assault. The subject claims that in February 2005 a Military Police Chief threatened him. The subject claims that he reported the incident through the proper authorities and nothing was ever done. The subject continued to state that on May 5, 2008 at approximately midnight several armed military police wearing masks and armed with high caliber weapons entered his house without his permission claiming to look for drugs and weapons. Subject Gutierrez further states that on Saturday June 14, 2008 he was warned by a female friend who claims she overheard military police officers making plans to harm the subject. The subject claims that he abandoned his home and hide at a • ents and other personal friends house in a near by town until he could gat.z database, but did not reveal items.
