1, PETER MACLAGGAN, declare as follows:

1. I am over the age of 18 and testify to the follow based upon my own personal
knowledge.

2. I am the Senior Vice President of California Project Development for Poseidon
Water.

3. I was contacted by reporter Ry Rivard regarding Poseidon?s prior relationship

with Hatch Parent ("the 

4. I told Mr. Rivard that the ?rm?s representation of Poseidon ended in or around
2002.

5. Poseidon did not terminate the ?rm. The ?rm withdrew from representation. I
understand this was because of potential con?icts that could arise from the evolving business
plans of both Poseidon and the San Diego County Water Authority.

6. Neither Hatch Parent nor Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck has ever
represented Poseidon with respect to any negotiations with the Water Authority or any Water

Authority member agencies.
