From: To: Cc: Subject: Date: Tom Bradford angel@valerin-group.com ccunningham@townofpalmbeach.com; Gail Coniglio Flagler Memorial Bridge Traffic Notification Protocol Thursday, August 24, 2017 5:43:00 PM Angel:   Yesterday, the new bridge malfunctioned again. I assume the bascule portions may have been inoperable. We noted that when the bridge operations were fully restored the Bridge Tender failed to contact the Town’s Police Department Communications Center per approved protocol. This resulted in a delay in notifying the Palm Beach motoring public that the bridge was once again available to traffic. Can you, or the appropriate person at FDOT, contact whoever is in charge of supervising the bridge tenders to ensure that they will notify the Town’s Police Department Communications Center per approved protocol both when the bridge is out of service and when it is again available to vehicular traffic?   Many residents of the Town have signed up for traffic alerts usually issued directly from the Town’s Police Department Communications Center to avoid road and bridge delays. Therefore, information about route availability is very important to a large segment of our population.  Anything that you can do to help is greatly appreciated.   Thomas G.
