From: Ann?Marie Tavlor Sent: Wednesday, February 21, 2018 9:21 PM Tu: mm; Scott Ryder Cc: Angel Gardner Subject: Flagler Memorial Bridge Operations on Tuesday, February 20th Gentlemen, lam not sure where this should be directed, but I wanted to take the time to express my grave displeasure because of the Flagler Memorial Bridge operations yesterday afternoon. As you are most likely aware, traffic was negatively impacted during our afternoon rush hour. Although lam not sure if this is true, I understand it was due to some type of scheduled calibration. Here are my thoughts on the matter: -Why would calibration (maintenance) be scheduled during rush hour traffic? -Why wouldn't you notify the police department in advance or at least ask for input? -Why didn't the bridge tender notify us this was occurring, rather, we had to hear from the public there was a problem at the bridge? We received multiple phone calls from the public and many had to sit in traffic, unnecessarily, for an extended period of time. We can do better! Please let me know how we can avoid this in the future. Thank you, Deputy Chief Ann?Marie Taylor PALM BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT 345 South County Road Palm Beach, FL 33480 (561) 838?5454 Please be advised that under Florida law, e-mails and e-mail addresses are public records.
