'sutnntul'y nf I'mcnta IL Jackson 1?50 Summary of Events VESTIGATION: ls?OO/l Sunday, at 745 hours, Tiffany Morgan reported to dispatch a suspicious circumstance possibly involving a deceased baby located at 12069 Tintagel Lane, Whitemore, CA (Julian Academy, a school for troubled teams). Morgan reported the deceased baby was originally seen in a staff member?s room inside a laundry basket on 1 1/04/1 1, Friday at approximately 2330 hours while other staff members were looking for a blanket. The staff member?s room was identi?ed as belonging to Jessica Bradford- DCPUW Tippings responded to the location and spoke with Bradford who admitted the baby was hers. Bradford told Deputy Tippings that she originally gave birth to the baby on 09/19/11 outside the residence and believed the baby was stillborn at that time. Bradford admitted she kept the baby inside her room since then and moved it to a near/51y1 Utility 1' 0011? after She fca?zed blankets covering the baby had been disturbed on 11l0f? - Bradford told Deputy Tippings that she did not tell anyone that she Was pregnant ??th included her boyfriend of approximately three years and her immediate family. Deputy Tippings telephoned me at my residence and I reSponded to the with other detectives for further investigation due to the late reporting of the ba 5 and suspicious behavior of Bradford. I interviewed Bradford after transporting her to the Shasta County Sheriff O??ice, Major Crimes Unit. Bradford initially told me she gave birth to the baby the early morning hours. Bradford stated she gave birth out51de of her roomd under a deck attached to her residence to avoid anyone from hearing her. Bradford Stat? after the baby was born, the baby was not breathing and was limp causmg her to believe the baby was stillborn. During this interview and subsequent interviews later in the day on 11/07/11', Bradford changed her story and admitted to me that the baby was not stillborn and lived for approximately four days. Bradford told me she did not name the baby which was suspicious. Bradford stated she had thoughts of giving the baby up for adoption however chose not to for various reasons. Bradford admitted she neglected to care for the baby by not feeding it or being able to provide breast milk for feeding. Bradford kept the baby in a vacant residence on campus and would check on the baby periodically while she still worked, visited with her boyfriend and drove to Redding for personal business on at least two occasions.
