RE: Request for Administration of the Flow Reach on the River between the confluence
with Avalanche Creek to the confluence with the Roaring Fork River

On behalf of the Colorado Water Conservation Board, I hereby request the water officials of the State of Colorado
to administer in the priority system the Board?s instream flow water right on the following segment of the 
River, Water District 38, to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree.

The RIVER AT DOW FISH HATCHERY AB CARBONDALE gage is in the reach and has been used to determine
flow conditions are below the minimum for the decreed water right. The Board is hereby placing a written call for
said instream flow water right to ensure that the full decreed amount of this water right is made available for the
decreed beneficial use of preserving the natural environment to a reasonable degree. The effective date of this
call is August 3, 2018 and the call is to be in effect until the end of the current irrigation year.
