TransCanada Keystone Pipeline, LP.
(Keystone) is proposing to construct and
operate a crude oil pipeline and related
facilities from Hardisty, Alberta, Canada,
to the Gulf Coast area of Texas in the US.
The facilities are designed to transport
crude oil production from the Western
Canadian Sedimentary Basin to existing
markets in the Texas Gulf Coast area.
Keystone submits that its proposed
pipeline will serve the national interests
of the United States by providing a
secure and reliable supply of Canadian
crude oil to meet the growing demand
by US refineries and markets. The
project, known as the Keystone XL
Project, will have the nominal capacity to
deliver up to 900,000 barrels per day of
crude oil. in accordance with the
requirements of the Montana Major
Facility Siting Act, Keystone is analyzing
three alternative routes within the state
of Montana (see map) in preparation for
their application submittal to the
Montana Department of Environmental
Quality. The Montana segment of the
project is scheduled for construction in
2011 and 2012. Please send any
