On May 18, 2018, the Court struck the previously set pretrial deadlines and directed the 13 Parties to propose a new case schedule by June 14, 2018. The Parties have been meeting and 14 conferring weekly about the pace of document discovery and ways to reach an agreed 15 completion date. Defendants are currently reviewing documents at a rate of 50,000 per month. 16 Defendants estimate that an additional 450,000 to 550,000 documents still require review which 17 may extend discovery into the next year if the currently agreed-upon custodians, non-custodial 18 sources, and search terms are not adjusted. The parties have differing views on the appropriate 19 universe of documents that should be collected and reviewed and the appropriate rate at which 20 those documents can be reviewed. 21 Nevertheless, the Parties have preliminarily agreed to a discovery completion date of 22 October 26, 2018, with the understanding that they will work jointly in the next two weeks to 23 substantially narrow the scope of potentially responsive documents requiring review and to STIPULATED PROPOSED SCHEDULE -- PAGE 1 WAGAFE V.
