I ean understand an employee having vaeation pay and siek days however, you as board members are held to a higher standard and should set an example. Being reimbursed for missing one, 2-3 hour board meeting when you are on vaeation, siek or beeause of another work commitment is absolutely an abuse of power. The 4 board members who are not a?'eeted vote for the 5'1? board member to be reimbursed for not attending a regularly scheduled board meeting. do you really think anyone of you is going to vote against it? Mr. Segura has stated in his own words that he has missed meetings heeause of work and vaeation with his family, why do my tax dollars have to reimburse him for that? Let him take as mueh time as he wants but NUT on my dirne, if he can?t be present to eomplete his obligations as a board member then resign or don?t espeet payment. Although the past board members had many faults they NEVER abused this poliey for reimbursement. Do I have to remind all of you that it states in YOUR EDARD PDLICY, reimbursement is for "hardship" and for all of you that need to be reminded the definition of ?hardship? is: noun something that eauses or entails suffering or privation?. . I don?t believe being on vaeation or traveling for work falls into the definition of hardship, so please explain to me how any of you have the audaeity to request reimbursement? Remember opties are everything and the way you are all portraying yourselves does not look good in the publie?s eye. Have a good weekend,
