Describe the discrimination On what basis were y0u discnminated against? race; sex; retaliation; During the month of September of 2017 my teammates and I brought up issues to our athletic department including the athletic director Bryan Maggard, and his assistant jessica lever. The issues we brought up were: we had no athletic Trainor at our practices (including no water or Gatorade). Three of our coaches had not been paid for months. Our ?eld was in poor shape and no actions were taken to remedy it. I believe this discnmination was because of our sex. Male athietes (specifically footbal! players) had their field taken care of everyday. i believe our complaints were not taken seriously because we are female athietes. On October 6, 2017 Our coach was placed on administrative leave. i believe this was in retaliation of him pushing the issues we brought up in the previous month. The following Saturday 10/11/17 1 and two other teammates set up a meeting with president Joseph Savioe for better understanding of the situation. He told us to go about things as usual and that things would be back to the way they were soon. On be half of the team we expressed that we would not practice until our coach was back and that we would not play if he was not. The next day 10/12/17 we had a meeting with Joseph Sawoe, Bryan Haggard, and the rest of the team that was pretty much the same as the day before, but Mr. Savioe was able to expiain the same thing to the team and he was able to see that the entire team stood in solidarity. Fur weeks after this meeting we did not hear from or see anybody from the athletic department. On November 2017 i found of via tviitter that my coach was ?red. i believe all of this was done in retaliation of as trying to get our voices heard.
