Official Statement from the City of Milton Police Department The Milton Police Department is aware of the press conference conducted by Ms. Cordon and her attorney earlier this morning regarding the July 10 home invasion at 392 Hickory Pass. This is an active and ongoing investigation by the Milton Police Department. We cannot disclose the details of an active and ongoing investigation in order to protect the long-term integrity of the case. However, we will offer the following details in response to today’s press conference.        The 911 call was received on July 10 at 3:18 a.m. through the Alpharetta Emergency Communications Center and dispatched at 3:19 a.m. Milton Police arrived at 392 Hickory Pass at 3:29 a.m., and the Milton Fire-Rescue Department was on-scene staging at 3:29 a.m. as well. With regard to Milton’s use of the City of Alpharetta’s emergency dispatch services, this is a common practice throughout the metro-Atlanta area and across the US, and is outlined through an intergovernmental agreement between our two cities. Contrary to the details offered in the press conference, since the inception of this investigation, Milton Police have been focused on a white Chevy Impala or Malibu as a possible suspect vehicle, not a Dodge Charger. From the onset, we have encountered numerous obstacles by all involved, and it has hindered our work not assisted. Detectives have been stonewalled or provided conflicting accounts of what occurred on July 10 at 392 Hickory Pass, the home belonging to Mr. LeSean McCoy. From the involved parties that have given statements, Milton Police detectives have noted multiple material inconsistencies. The homeowner, Mr. McCoy, who also may have had personal items stolen from the home during the July 10, 2018 home invasion, has not been cooperative in the investigation, despite requests by Milton Police detectives to Mr. McCoy’s attorneys. The Milton Police Department had not been notified by Ms. Cordon or her attorney that a private investigator was hired. While a Milton Police detective did receive a message from someone purporting to be a private investigator assisting Ms. Cordon’s attorney, we had no independent information confirming that. We would however welcome any additional or new information that is available. Beyond the above noted, the Milton Police Department does not have any additional details that we may share publicly at this time. The Milton Police Department recognizes that Ms. Cordon and the other victims in the home have been through a traumatic experience, and we are committed to bringing those responsible to justice. 9/21/2018
