To whom it may concern,

The Orleans Parish School Board has reason to believe that an asbestos fiber release has
occurred inside Rosenwald School, located at 6501 Berkley Drive, New Orleans, LA 70131. The asbestos
fiber release may be related to building renovation work performed inside the School sometime in the
last four weeks. Based on the results of'l?EM air samples taken inside the school building on May 2,
2018, the School has been closed to all persons except those involved in the ongoing asbestos response
action. Signs have also been posted on primary entrance doors to prevent entry into the restricted area.
OPSB is planning the response action in conjunction with Materials Management Group and its
LDEQ-accredited Asbestos Project Designer, Dr. Richard Lo. No persons or organizations unrelated to
the asbestos response action will be allowed to re-enter or occupy the School until the response actior. is
complete and the affected area has passed clearance as described in LAC For additional
