The Krum Independent School District and Board of Trustees have received inquiries into the
status of the allegations made against district employees. KISD takes these accusations
seriously, and to maintain transparency have asked the Region 11 Education Service Center to
investigate the matter. KISD is cooperating, opening its records, and making its employees
available to the Service Center so it may conduct an independent investigation.
KISD believes the independent investigation will exonerate the district and its employees of
what KISD is confident are false accusations. The independent investigation’s report will be
received by the Board of Trustees and shared with the public to the greatest extent permitted by
law. KISD takes its reputation for integrity and honesty seriously, and will take whatever steps
are necessary to maintain and protect its reputation, including, but not limited to, actions against
anyone who would dishonor our institution by violating our rules or policies.
This Board of Trustees loves our community and school district, and genuinely strives to make
decisions that are in the best interest of all students and the district as a whole. We are saddened
by the uproar and the many inflammatory and unsubstantiated statements that are being
disseminated via social media. We encourage everyone to be patient and wait for the facts, and
not believe or spread uninformed speculation; the facts will come out.
An unrelated personnel issue has been mischaracterized as being part of this investigation. KISD
does not discuss personnel matters publicly, but you may be assured that any personnel decisions
will be made independent of the investigation and in the best interest of KISD. We thank you for
