The Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is creating a Department of Defense Revolving
Door Database on its website (pogo.org), which compiles information from public resources
regarding former senior Department of Defense officials and military officers who went on to
work for government contractors, including Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, from 2008 to the
present. The database is an attempt to track individuals when they leave the Department of
Defense, and inclusion in the database does not represent anything illegal or a violation of ethics
rules. I have enclosed the findings relevant to Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP and am
requesting verification or refutation of the data from you.
Any response would be greatly appreciated, as the accuracy of this information is in the best
interest of all parties. When a precise start date was not publicly available POGO chose the first
day of the month the employee said they began working for Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP.

Approximate Date Joined Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP: June 24, 2015
Synopsis: Patrick Fitzgerald was the Director of the Defense Contract Audit Agency,
the agency that provides audit and financial advisory services to the Department of
Defense and other federal agencies. He retired in 2014 and joined auditing and
government consulting firm Baker Tilly Virchrow Krause LLP as part of their
government contractor advisory services practice the next year. The company's
website says the federal contractors they support "represent a combined total of more
than $78 billion." “Providing clients with the insights and perspectives of such a
seasoned government leader will not only expedite complex audit situations, but also
help our clients make better long term business decisions,” the head of Baker Tilly's
government contractor advisory services team said in an official press release. "His
extensive experience with financial management, government contracting, acquisition
planning, and organizational dynamics will further strengthen Baker Tilly’s ability to
bring well-rounded perspectives and solutions to its government contractor clients."
