I am a lifelong resident of New Orleans East and a single mother of three kids. It is
important that I have affordable energy that is reliable. In the event of a hurricane or bad
weather and the electricity goes out, for the safety of my kids, my power needs to be
restored as quickly as possible. I support Energy in building a new natural gas power
station in this community and I?m not worried about my bill going up or any harmful
environmental impacts. Entergy has stated that this power station will not only be a more
reliable source of energy and better for the environment but it will also save us money in
the future. I trust Entergy, they have been a constant provider of economic growth, jobs
and energy in this community for almost all of my life. Now, I have children, and their
health and safety is my primary concern. I am comfortable knowing that there will be a
brand new natural gas power station, ready to generate the power our community needs,
quickly and ef?ciently.

Key Messages:

The need for affordable and reliable energy: Building the new plant is the most sensible and
cost effective way Entergy can provide a reliable source of locally generated power to the New
Orleans region. The proposed power station makes sense to the consumer who will have reliable
energy generated by a modern plant in the most cost effective manner. It also makes sense for
Entergy New Orleans in that we will have greater capacity under our control.

Natural Gas Power Station is better for the environment: The New Plant will be more
ef?cient with minimal environmental impact. The Plant will use turbine generated natural gas as
the source of power generation, which has less emissions than the old steam generated
plant it is replacing. In addition, the new plant will use 90+% less groundwater for its operation.

Entergy is trusted in the community: Entergy has been a provider of economic development,
jobs, and reliable energy for over of years. In addition to making sure businesses can
quickly recover after a storm, the building of the plant will create jobs and drive economic
activity in the region.
