Cheek c/o Mr. Michael Glazier Bond Schoeneck King 7500 College Boulevard Suite 910 Overland Park, Kansas 66210~4033 RE: Summary disposition report, University of Tennessee - Knoxville, Case No. M364. Dear Chancellor Cheek: The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions reviewed your institution's June 4, 2012, summary disposition report during its regularly scheduled June 15-17 meeting. The committee accepted the findings agreed upon by the University of Tennessee and the enforcement staff. However, the committee believed that additional, limited penalties were warranted beyond those self-imposed by the institution. The committee concluded that the following additional penalties are appropriate: Public reprimand and censure. - An additional two years of probation to be added to the conclusion of the current period of probation the institution is serving as a result of its 201 1 infractions case. With the extension of the probationary period, the institution's probation will expire on August 23, 2015. The committee concluded that, because both the extant case and the previous case involved recruiting violations, additional probation was warranted. 0 For unofficial visits in the sport of football, which take place during the fall of 2012, no complementary tickets may be provided to visiting prospective student-athletes (to include parents, guardians and others associated with the prospects) for the first two non-conference games and the first two conference games. Because the violations in this case were associated with a prospect's unofficial visit to the institution's campus, the committee concluded that this is an appropriate sanction.
