February 3, 1976 rles Ko P.0. Box 2256 Wichita, Kansas 67201 Dear Charles: Enclosed is a copy of my letter to John Roper along with a copy of the Advisory Opinion to which I refer in that letter. I didn't want toburden you with the 137 page Supreme Court ruling but I can assure you that it represents a sad commentary on the status of personal liberty in this nation. I might note paren- thetically that the dissenting opinion by Chief Justice Burger has a sound. hard-core defense of the right to free expression that has been so badly trampled by Congress and now the Supreme Court. I am pleased, however, that we received a favorable decision on our Advisory Opinion request and that the limits on individual expenditures no longer exist. I have enclosed some of our newest literature for your peru- sal. I am pleased with the reception we have gotten on it and would be interested in any comments you may have. I hops you re- ceived the other literature safely and have had a chance to see the film clip offour convention. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Edward H. Crane, National Chairman Enclosures
