"It is again with mixed emotions that the Department
of Medicine announces that Dr. Samuel B. Ho will step
down as Chief of the Gastroenterology Section at the
VA San Diego Healthcare System and Professor of
Medicine at UCSD, effective in July, 2018. Dr. Ho will
be moving on to become Chair of Clinical Sciences
and Professor of Medicine at the Mohammed Bin
Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in
Dubai, UEA. This is a new medical school that was
formed in 2014 to train high quality physicians to help
meet the growing shortage of physicians in Africa,
Middle East, and Asia."
