METHOD 1: “Percent of a whole” Ex: If the indicator is worth 10 points, and a school scores 70%, then the school receives 10 points x 70% = 7 points. METHOD 2: “Assigned scores.” Points are assigned based on standards or intervals. Score Points Ex: 0-60.0% 1 60.1-70% 3 70.1-80% 5 80.1-90% 7 90.1-100% 10 What happens if a measure doesn’t apply? For the 2017-2018 school year:  Elementary schools will have a maximum possible 85 points  No science achievement (5 points), climate survey (10 points)  Possibly other measures may not apply (ex: ELP) if minimum N sizes are not met  Middle schools will have a maximum possible 83 points  No science achievement (3.5 points), social studies achievement (3.5 points), climate survey (10 points)  Possibly other measures may not apply (ex: ELP)  High schools will have a maximum possible 90 points  No climate survey (10 points)  Possibly other measures may not apply (ex: ELP) if minimum N sizes are not met How will the total be calculated? (Total earned percents must be used, rather than total earned points, so that all schools are compared on the same scale.) How will stars be assigned?
