Attached is a report I told you I was going to obtain
from Dr. Stefano of Monaco. The report documents the
non-existanco of any carcinogenic factor related to
long term exposure to Italian talc. You w i l l note that
stefano's comprehensive review of the situation can produce
up to 2,000 case histories backed up by 9 Italian medical
associates in addition to his own opinion.
I t seems to me that the Italian records give us the
opportunity to fo r t i f y a position on t a l c safety that no
one else. in this country (o.g. S s l i k o f f ) can produce.
The Italian workings predate those here in the States and
have continuity on a scale we do 12:: have.
As I

mentioned

earlier. Dr. Stefano controls Italian talc

exports out of I t a ly. The report is the property of
Mr. Perry who controls Italian talc imports into the U.S.A.

The next step on this matter is that I w i l l arrange a
visit by Mr. Ferry to your office to discuss how to go
about using the information for naximm benefit.
