As a result, the demand for on-campus housing has increased. In 2020, HDH will open two new graduate housing residential areas, Nuevo West (800 beds) and Nuevo East (1,380 beds), and undergraduate housing, North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood (2,000 beds). The university’s Long Range Development Plan includes the accommodation of up to two additional undergraduate residential colleges to meet the needs of a growing student population. This allows for the strategic housing allocation of undergraduate (lower division), transfer and graduate students.
