Prob. Ptlm. Mader

Ptlm. Mader has been now been through a full turn rotation of and 3"1 watch in
the PTO Program. Prob. Ptlm. Mader has continued to improve as a Prob. Ptlm.
Mader has picked up the task that patrolman do on a daily basis. Prob. Ptlm. Mader has done
reports from city and state accident reports, arrest reports, and. incident reports. Prob. Ptlm.
Mader has also typed up city and state complainants for di?'erent types of crimes. Prob. Ptlm.
Mader has obtained statements and knows how to ?ll out a CFI when it comes to victims
wanting to press charges. Prob. Ptlm. Mader takes notes on calls and shows improvement in
gathering information, such as names, dates of birth, etc. Prob. Ptlm. Mader is not afraid to jump
in on calls and being the contact of?cer. When it comes to of?cer safety, Prob. Ptlm. Mader
knows the importance in all different situations, and knows to always have a fellow of?cers
back. Prob. Ptlm. Mader is not afraid to ask question if he doesn?t know what to do and wants to
improve in the duties as a patrolman. Prob. Ptlm. Mader also helps out whenever there is an
arrest on station and gets along with everyone on Sgt. I 3 crew. Prob. Ptlm. Mader worked
trained with myself, Ptlm. 4,5 and Ptlm. hon conducting mock traf?c stops. While
doing the mock traf?c stops Prob. Ptlm. was not afraid to ask questions and learn how to
conduct traf?c steps. Myself, Ptlm. and Ptlm. "threw out different scenarios and
Prob. Ptlm. Mader handled them all pretty good.

Prob. Ptlm. Mader can improve on a few areas during his time in the PTO program. Prob.
Ptlm. Mader needs to become more confrontable talking on the radio and leaming the 10 codes
that we use on a daily shift. Prob. Ptlm. Mader knows a lot of the main streets and the streets that
of?cers are always on, but he needs to take more time in learning a lot of the side streets and
patrol neighborhoods to get more familiar. When it comes to writing out a citation Prob. Ptlm.
Mader could be a little bit faster when it comes to writing one out, which that will come with
experience. Prob. Ptlm. Mader is not afraid to jump in on calls but he could improve on speaking

to people and learning how to ask the right questions.

Since completing a full turn rotation of all three turns in my opinion Prob. Ptlm. Mader is
continually progressing in the PTO program. I believe Prob. Ptlm. Mader is right where he needs
to be in the TO program and will continue to progress as time goes on. As time goes on I will
continue to step back and let Prob. Ptlm. Mader be the contact of?cer, and let him take care of all
the calls and but also be there when I am needed.
