“Our government was elected on a promise to do things differently. We believe that Canadians
consumers deserve to be treated fairly, and we are taking steps to ensure Canadian consumers are
better protected and have access to affordable and reliable telecom services.
PIAC is an important consumer advocacy group that provides valuable services to Canadians, and while
the CRTC is an independent administrative tribunal, our officials are reaching out for a status update and
we will continue to monitor this situation closely.”
