Dear Journalist:
On February 3rd the Global Climate Coalition and AccuWeather released a pre-publication draft of a report titled
"Changing Weather? Facts and Fallacies about Climate Change
In preparing to finalize the report for publication we found an
error in the reference to the study by Dr. David Keith at Harvard
University. The text of the study has been revised to remove
reference to Dr. Keith's work (publication of which is pending at
the journal Nature) He has requested that until his entire study
is published, it not be cited.
We have included two new pages, one that replaces page 37,
and another that replaces the second page of references. Page 38
should be removed altogether. None of the conclusions in the
Accu-Weather study were based on Dr. Keith's work, so the
report's conclusions regarding extreme weather events remain
unaffected.
