DFT SALARY SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE

BACKGROUND
 
     
   The schedules below represent the salaries bargained for DFT members on the teacher schedule in the agreement ratified on August

28, 2017. The 2017-18 school year schedule will go into effect at the start of the second semester. The schedules below illustrate step movements in the
first year of the agreement for members who began working in the bargaining unit before the start of the second semester in the previous year.  The color
bands represent the following: 1-step (blue), 1- and 2-step (green), 2-step (orange), 2- and 3-step (yellow), and top step movement (gray).

TOP
  STEPS Members on the new salary schedule on step 15 and other members on the top step of their salary schedule receive a 3% and 4.13% on-

schedule increases in the first and second years of the agreement, respectively.  These increases also apply to instructional specialists, adult education
teachers, accompanists, attendance agents, assistant attendance officers, educational technicians, special instructors and others who are at the top of their
respective salary schedules.

                      *Members
on the 16-17 teachers’ salary schedule on step 10 with a BA or MA, or those on step 10 or 11 with a MA+30 or Ph.D. will
receive a $1,750 off-schedule bonus payment on September 12, 2017. Instructional specialists on the top of their schedule wil also receive the bonus.
