Dear Mr. Evers:
The Office of the Secretary of Defense/Joint Staff, Freedom of Information Division,
Office of Litigation Support, is responding to your August 23, 2018 Freedom of Information
Act request to the Department of Defense (DoD). You requested records reflecting
communications between three DOD officials related to Concerned Veterans for America.
Multiple OSD offices searched for responsive records, and the Under Secretary of
Defense for Personnel and Readiness office located 2 documents, totaling 2 pages.
Portions of these pages were determined to be exempt pursuant to Title 5 U.S.C. § 552
(b)(6), which allows for withholding information, the disclosure of which would result in a
clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.
Appellate rights are moot as your request is currently in litigation.
