Grand Avenue, Chicago, Illinois., with my friendgH Francisco Vincents. I was in the custody of the Chicago Police Department on a charge of armed robbery. 3. At that time I was a heavy user of heroin, with a 5100.005H per day drug habit. I was also experiencing severe withdrawal 4. I saw Robert Bouto chained to the latrine on the secondg floor of the Area 5 lockup. I never saw Robert Bouto prior to seeing him chained to the lettine at Area 5 lockup. 5. My cell was next to Robert Bouto's cell. Francisoo Vincente's cell was on the other side of Robert Bouco's Robert Bouto'e cell was between my cell and frencisco Vincente'a cell. 6. At no time while I was in custody at Area 5 lockup did 18R hear Robert Bouto confess or state to me or Francisco Vincents that he killed or murdered anyone. 7. Approximately 1 to '1 deyo later, Francisco Vinnente and I met each other at the bullpen in the jail at 26th and California. )4 vim-om: <B. Francisco Vincents told me that he was going to set Lung/LL the ?Stone boy? by_implicating him for murder. Francisco Vincents put great Eressure on me to make similar statements. 9. A short time later, I was brought upstairs in the Criminal Courts Building section. I was asked if Robert BoutogM confessed to the murder of Salvador Ruvalcaba. I stated ?Yes.? This statement was not true, and was and is a lie. I was being pressured to do so by Francisco Vincents. Also, at that time I was not feeling well due to withdrawal from my heroin habitt 10. A short time later I met with an assistant states attorney who told me what Francisco Vincents had stated to them. I then Lepeated to them the same thing that the assistant states Eat-{t attorney told me. I made a statement and signed my signature on Lhat statement at the urging of the assistant states attorney and the Chicago Police Department. The contents of the statement was what the states attorney told me that Francisco Vincents had earlier said to them and the police. If they did-not tell me what Francisco Vincents had told them, I would not have been able to corroborate'Francisco Vincente?s statements. I made the statement according to what they told me. . 11. I repeated to the Grand Jury tor the trial of Robert Bouto the exact statement that I signed in the presence of the - state: attorney. 12. In 1995 the assistant states attorney in Robert Bouto?s trial, subpoenaed me, and prepared me for the trial by reviewing }4 the false statement I gave to the Grand Jury and the Chicago Police Department. 13. I repeat, Robert 'Bouto have: confessed 1x: me or todE:L{? Francisco Vincents about committing a murder. 14. I gave a false statement to the Chicago Police Department?il4. and the Grand Jury regarding_Robert Bouto. 19. I was scared and feared great bodily harm from Francisco Vincents if I didn?t cooperate in making t.:e false statement. That 6H is the only reason why I lied in making the statement about'Robert Bouto. Francisco Vincents was a respected Imember of the It?s (Imperial Gangsters), and I felt that I had to what he told me to do or also face trouble.
